Day 1 : Shillong: A lovely trip begins

On your arrival at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi Airport Guwahati airport in Assam, an our representative will welcome you and escort to the hotel in Shillong Meghalaya. En route, the fascinating Umiam Lake awaits your visit.

Umiam Lake: A scenic reservoir, which is part of the state’s first Hydel Power Project. Kids can enjoy various water activities here, under your supervision. Some of the activities to be undertaken here include water cycling, kayaking, paddle and speed boating.

Proceed to Shillong and register yourself at the reception and freshen up as per this Northeast trip with family. Later, enjoy a refreshing sleep at the hotel.

Day 2 : Shillong: A day trip to Cherrapunjee

Welcome the new day with a savory morning meal and set off for a sightseeing spree to Cherrapunjee that will take you closer to Mother Nature. As this scenic town of Meghalaya is a favorite of showers, it is blessed with spectacular scenery. Have a glance at the mesmeric places that you will be visiting today –

Nohkalikai Falls: These are the tallest plunge waterfall of India and the fourth highest on earth. The Falls have created a waterhole, which turns green in summers and blue in winters! You can also catch sight of Bangladesh from here!

Seven Sister Falls: Also known as Nohsngithiang Falls, these are the country’s fourth highest waterfalls. Forming a seven-segmented waterfall, the Falls plunge over the top of limestone cliffs of the Khasi Hills. Watching sunset here is quite an experience.

Mawsmai Caves: These are limestone caves that house stalactites and stalagmites in myriad shapes and sizes. The caves are lit enough to enable you delight in the nature’s artwork inside.

Day 3 : Shillong: Visit Asia’s cleanest village and go trekking

Double decker Root Bridge Trek: The Bridge hangs in a remote village ‘Nongriat’ and is 250 years old. You can reach the bridge only through trekking that includes a flight of more than 3000 steps!

Day 4 : Guwahati: Venture into diverse attractions of Guwahati

Enjoy an exceptional day with this Guwahati.

Begin your day with an energetic breakfast and checkout from the hotel. Now, you will be transferred to Guwahati (Assam) to enjoy the next leg of your North East itinerary. On the way, pay reverence at –

Maa Kamakhya Temple: This is a Hindu temple dedicated to the mother goddess – Kamakhya. It is the oldest and most sacred of the 51 Shakti Peethas on earth.

Continue to Guwahati and check-in to the hotel. Relax and be prepared to enjoy a breathtaking sunset cruise today. Drinking in the scenic sunset from the upper deck of this evening cruise is pure bliss. Floating on the mighty Brahmaputra River, the cruise imparts you a precious experience. You can also treat your taste buds to a scrumptious dinner onboard.
