Day 1 : AKSHARDHAM TEMPLE, DELHI
Akshardham Temple is one of the best architectural marvel built by the disciples of Swaminarayan and the complex is on the waterfront of Yamuna at Delhi although Yamuna flows on the back of it. The river ecosystem was a major concern while building but the Forest & Environment Ministry has given a nod to it. The sprawling temple is build on NH-24 i.e. the Akshardham Setu and there is an entry fee before getting into it. The entry fee varies for Adults, Senior Citizen and Child along with under age children. The complex was created in 2005 in Noida and almost 70% of tourists who visit Delhi come for the sightseeing of this beautiful tourist attractions.
The Akshardham temple also have a central dome which contains main deity, Swaminarain and all the deities statues are made of Panchdhatus and the hall of values or also called as Sahjanand darshan features like robotic displays from various teachings. The Nilkanth Darshan stages 40 minutes film which displays film shown in giant screen and IMAX Theatres. The cultural boat ride spans 15 minutes and the Yugpurush Kund or Musical fountain gives the explanation of a Hindu sage through underwater flames, lives and many other such laser shows making it a great place to visit.
Day 2 : HUMAYUN’S TOMB, NEW DELHI
Humayun’s Tomb is tomb of Mughal Emperor Humayun in Delhi, India and it was commissioned by humayun’s first wife Empress Bega Begum and was designed by mirak Mirza Ghiyas and his son Sayyiad Muhammad. The tomb has been declared a Unesco World Heritage site and is located in the Nizammudin, East Delhi. The main tomb enclosure in the Humayun Tomb has several smaller monuments which dot the pathways and the final tomb complex was completed by Afghan noble in Sher Shah Suri’s court of the Suri dynasty by the name of Isa Khan Niyazi.
The materials used in building this tomb is red sandstone and the construction got completed in 1572 AD along with the architectural style is Mughal and not the Persian which was one of the most prominent architectural style adapted at that time. The grandeur of this spectacular edifice which gets gradually diminished due to lack of maintenance but the English established the garden again in the form of English style architecture and now it is being managed by ASI. The main tomb took over with Char bagh enclosure which is a Persian style garden and is placed in the centre with also the Isa Khan’s mosque built across near the Humayun’s tomb also one of the major attractions.
Day 3 : QUTUB MINAR, DELHI
Qutab Minar is also spelled as Qutab Minar is one of the minaret in Qutab complex and is a UNESCO Heritage World Site, and is a 73-metre tall with tapering of the tower of five storey. The Qutab-Ud-Din Aibak is thought to have been based on the Minaret of Jam, in Western Afghanistan. The tower style is patterned on Afghanistan’s Minaret and the local artistic conventions by incorporation of looped balls and garlands along with lotus borders into carving. The general public is allowed access to the area around Qutab Minar which has been converted into a park along with the Iron Pillar or Loh stambh but it is not open to climb by its stairs because of the few people dying while falling from its minarets in the past.
There is Caligraphy on the upper-base section and has the decorative Motifs on the upper levels along with view through arch.
Day 4 : RED FORT (LAL QUILA), DELHI
Red Fort, is one of the most beautiful redstone fort made in the year 1648 and it took almost 10 years to build the fort. The country which was under Mughal period and was the centre for the Mughal kingdom which also accommodate the Mughal emperor and their households.The country after independence got this fort which is still intact in its splendor and glory and flag hoisting is done by the Indian Prime Minister here. It has seen much of the plundering in terms of artwork and jewels during Nadir Shah’s invasion in 1747. The red fort is one of the protected monuments and is secured by the Indian Army along with the National Security Guard with no-fly zone attached to airspace around it.
The major structure are the wall and ramparts with audience halls along with the imperial apartments on the eastern riverbank and the Lahori gate which was towards the city Lahore and the Delhi gate with Southern public entrance and layout with the architecture which was more of a Persian style and the various thoughts about music and dance associated with the Mughal era is to be a reminder then Naubat Khana stands as the testimony which was a small drum room and if Kohinoor is to be reminded then it was the part of the decoration of peacock throne.
